87 Believers Baptized at the River — A Day of Great Joy

This past Saturday, the banks of the river became a place of celebration as 87 believers publicly declared their faith in Jesus Christ through the waters of baptism. The service, organized by Avad Christian Ministries in partnership with three local churches, drew a crowd of over 500 witnesses — family members, friends, and curious community members who came to watch. Each candidate had completed our four-week baptismal preparation class and gave a personal testimony of their faith before entering the river. Tears of joy were everywhere. One man, a former witch doctor who came to faith six months ago, was among those baptized. His testimony moved the entire crowd to tears and applause. "I have been washed," he declared. "Everything old is gone." This is why we do what we do.
